Moderation Appeals

1. What this route is for

This route lets a member, notifier or other affected person ask Brendan Bishop to reconsider a moderation decision already made on paRRssport. It covers decisions about content visibility or removal, account or feature restrictions, reports or notices, copyright and intellectual-property decisions, and comparable moderation measures.

2. What it is not for

Do not use an appeal to make a new report about another member or new allegedly unlawful content. Use the Report control on the relevant content or profile for ordinary safety and community-rule concerns, and use the dedicated Copyright & Intellectual Property form for a new rights notice.

3. What to include

Give the original decision or case reference where you have it, the affected paRRssport URL, the approximate decision date, why you believe the decision was wrong or incomplete, and any useful evidence. If you cannot currently sign in, you may submit the appeal while logged out and identify the relevant account without providing a password.

4. Review

Appeals are recorded separately from the original moderation case and are intended for human review. The reviewer should consider the information supplied, the original reason and evidence, applicable paRRssport rules and relevant legal obligations. The original restriction normally remains in place during review unless an administrator decides otherwise.

5. Possible outcomes

The original decision may be upheld, reversed, partly changed or kept under review. If an appeal identifies no decision that can reasonably be reviewed through this route, it may be closed as not eligible. Where an outcome requires a change in BuddyBoss or another paRRssport feature, an administrator must carry out that change in the owning system; the appeal record does not silently alter the original action.

6. Reasons and records

We aim to record a reasoned outcome and notify the appellant using the contact details supplied. Appeal records may be retained where reasonably necessary to demonstrate the review, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations or preserve a proportionate audit trail.

Appeal a moderation decision

Use this form when paRRssport has already made a moderation, account, content or rights decision that you believe should be reconsidered. It is not the route for making a new report about another member or for submitting a new copyright notice.

An appeal is reviewed as a separate case. Submitting one does not automatically restore content or an account, and the original restriction normally remains in place while the appeal is considered unless an administrator decides otherwise.
