paRRssport legal
Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy
Version 2026-08-23-v1 · Effective 23 August 2026
1. Purpose of this policy
Brendan Bishop respects copyright, trade marks and other intellectual-property rights. This policy explains how rights holders and other notifiers can identify specific material on paRRssport that they believe infringes a right or is otherwise unlawful, and how we review those notices.
2. What members may upload
Members must own the material they upload or have the permissions and licences needed to use it on paRRssport. Copyright can apply to photographs, video, writing, graphics and other creative work. Trade marks and other rights can also apply. A disagreement about ownership or permission can be fact-specific, so a report does not automatically mean the reported material will be removed.
3. The dedicated rights-notice route
Use the form below for a specific copyright, trade mark or other intellectual-property complaint. It can be used without a paRRssport account. Ordinary harassment, safety, scam, adult-content and community-rule concerns should continue to use the Report control on the relevant content or profile.
4. What a useful notice should contain
Please identify the protected work or right, provide the exact paRRssport URL for each item complained of, explain why you believe the use is infringing or otherwise unlawful, give contact details for follow-up and confirm in good faith that the information supplied is accurate and complete. Original-source and other evidence URLs are useful where available.
5. Review and action
We aim to review notices in a timely, diligent and non-arbitrary way. We may ask for clarification, compare the reported material with the information supplied, consider permissions, licences, statutory exceptions and other relevant legal or contractual factors, and preserve proportionate records while the issue is investigated. Possible outcomes include no action, continued review, removal or restriction of content, or account action where justified. Submitting a notice does not guarantee a particular result.
6. Decisions and reasons
Where contact information is supplied, we will record the case and aim to acknowledge receipt. When a decision is recorded, we aim to tell the notifier the outcome and available route for follow-up. If a restriction is imposed on a paRRssport member because material is considered unlawful or contrary to the rules, we aim to give that affected member a clear reason, the relevant legal or policy ground, the scope and duration where applicable, and a route to challenge the decision through our Moderation Appeals page.
7. Repeated infringement and misuse
Repeated infringement may lead to stronger account restrictions. Knowingly false, abusive or misleading notices can themselves breach paRRssport rules or applicable law. We may retain notice and decision records where reasonably necessary to resolve disputes, demonstrate how a decision was reached, prevent abuse or comply with legal obligations.
8. Privacy and evidence
We use notice information to investigate the complaint, contact the notifier, maintain a case history and, where necessary, explain a restriction to the affected uploader. Do not send passwords, identity-document copies or unrelated personal data through this form. Contact details are not routinely disclosed to the uploader unless this is necessary or legally required.
9. Contact
Rights and takedown enquiries may be sent to copyright@parrssport.com.
